Understanding my Yokai Project in relation to other anime/manga creatures

There is one work we all know and that is "Kaiju" from the movies. These are large scale monsters such as Godzilla, Mothra and more have only been in modern stories not in any folklore in Asia. There are many stories, folktales, and myths that surround the origins, fate, direction, and even historical significance of the Yokai or even "KAMI". The Yokai, or creature in my stories and even in Cyber Tech City and the surrounding landscapes exist in specific places. They characters define a specific place, region or area. Again, they are not religious and will not be associated with any in my work. They are binary creatures giving folklore to a modern day even cyberpunk city or world. They are here around us taking shape of rocks, trees, pieces of technology that they have evolved INTO, no not a Transformer. However you can see a similarity to the references to this modern day robot and household and daily use items.

The biggest realization for my work and story goes along with the fact that we all are not perfect. We all have parts of our bodies that make us unique. No two people are the same, twins ok. These creatures are made to be imperfect, odd, scary, but also relatable. I want them all to be able to be seen as things we can connect with around the world. The fun continues to how the stories, and art will evolve. If you notice now there are no people around, this is due to the fact that this is there story, and how people evolve into this art will happen as my stories evolve.

Below The Yokai we sitting on the tree, however it's spirit is within the tree. The idea of what lies within some objects giving them a more lifelike or spiritual essence adds to the folklore within many cultures "Beauty & the Beast", Transformers, to even some religions. The fire spirt is the stump, and we see the creature on top. Each having it's own shape and place within it's area.
